Kharmang Valley

The name Kharmang belongs to Bal language which is comprised of two words, Khar means “Fort” and Mang means “abundant”. The name was given to the valley during the era of Ali Sher Khan Anchan who built many forts in the area because of its geographical importance. The area is also famous for its enchanng waterfalls 

Manthokha Waterfall, located in the Kharmang district of Gilgit-Baltistan, is one of the most beautiful and captivating natural attractions in the region. Ghandus is a small town located in the Kharmang Valley. It is approximately 130 kilometers from the city of Skardu. Kharmang valley is known for its pleasing beauty. Trek to Ghandus Lake is approximately 3 hours long from Ghandus Valley, which is situated at an altitude of 2,800 meters above sea level. 

The beautiful Kharmang Pari Valley is the heart of District Kharmang. This hidden gem lies in district Kharmang of Gilgit Baltistan. A suspension bridge that spans a rushing river. This bridge has become a symbol of the area, attracting visitors from far and wide. The visitors come to experience the thrill of crossing its narrow planks and taking in the stunning natural beauty that surrounds it.
